Updated product portfolio makes travelling in Greece and Switzerland even more attractive.

UTRECHT, The Netherlands, January 27, 2015/PRNewswire/ - 2015 begins with good news for Interrailers who wish to explore Europe by land and water. While the new Attica Pass gives travellers the opportunity to discover the Greek islands by ferry, the Swiss boat services on Lake Brienz and Lake Thun are now completely integrated into the Interrail Global Pass.

As of the start of the year, Interrail is introducing the Attica Pass - a new One Country Pass - which enables travellers to hop from one Greek island to the next by ferry. Including up to six individual trips within a one month period, the Pass allows Interrailers to use Attica Group's ferries between Italy and Greece as well as services around a number of Greek islands, such as Crete, Santorini and Mykonos. Both first and second class accommodation is available and all surcharges such as fuel and port fees are inclusive. For more information please visit: http://www.eurailgroup.org/attica.

Attracting millions of visitors each year, the Greek islands are among the most beautiful and popular tourist destinations in Europe. By introducing the Attica Pass, Interrail aims to give its customers the unique opportunity to flexibly travel around the islands, far away from the generic 'all-inclusive' hotel resorts.  Furthermore, "as well as a standalone product, the Attica Pass is the perfect addition to the Interrail Global Pass to anyone wishing to explore Europe not only by land, but also by sea", states Carlo Boselli, General Manager at Eurail Group G.I.E.

Heading north to Switzerland, BLS's boat services on Lake Brienz and Lake Thun are now completely integrated into the Interrail Global Pass, as opposed to a previous 50% discount allowing travellers to experience the breath-taking views of the Swiss scenery all-year-round.

These product updates are part of a wider company strategy to make travelling with Interrail as accessible and convenient as possible. Other recent portfolio enhancements include the introduction of the Family Concept, 1st Class Youth Pass and price reductions to the Adult and Senior Passes.

Interrail Passes are sold by the local European railways and at: http://www.Interrail.eu.

Established in 2001, Eurail Group G.I.E. is responsible for the marketing and management of the Interrail and Eurail Passes that provide unlimited rail travel across Europe. The organisation is based in Utrecht (The Netherlands) and is wholly owned by thirty railways and shipping companies. In addition, Eurail Group G.I.E. has many benefit partners, including hotels, transport companies and museums, which offer their services either at a reduced rate or free of charge to rail Pass holders.
